Join us for a night of climbing and screening the USA Climbing Films ‘IAN’, ‘JAMROCK, ‘DROPPING MOLLY’, ‘FREYA’, ‘MOTHER EARTH’, ‘EMBRACING THE GRIM’, CLIMBING FOR GOLD’, and ‘JACKSON MARVELL’.
This event is FREE for members and $10 for non members. This includes use of shoes and climbing during the event.
TEAM VRG will be slinging hot dogs and snacks out front.

TEAM VRG FUNDRAISER
Join TEAM VRG at Ko’olau Distillery on November 23, 2024 from 6-10pm.
The VRG Competition Team invites you to come support The first State of Hawaii youth competitive climbing team from Kailua's own Volcanic Rock Gym. The climbing team is raising funds to compete in Long Beach California at USA Climbing Regionals in bouldering on January 11th. Then, in early February several climbers will attend the Divisional climbing event in BOTH bouldering and top rope in Redlands California. The funds raised will be used for climbing entrance fees, and travel to and from the events. Youth climbing is a growing sport in Hawaii and these youth are paving the way for others! Mahalo for your support!
Food, drink, a silent auction and VRG Climbing gear will be available to purchase. Live Music by Discord and Rye with special guest Andy Joca. Food truck (to be determined) on site with food for purchase separately.
Adult tickets come with admission to the event and include a tour and distillery tasting.

Girls Gone Hueco Film Screening at Patagonia Honolulu!
This film features 5 female climbers from the U.S. and Canada converging on historic Hueco Tanks, Texas, to celebrate the fiery girl gang energy that naturally happens when you get a group of strong ladies together. Coming from different backgrounds, the climbers each have a unique personality, perspective, and approach to climbing. The film will highlight those differences and show that there’s no one way to “be a climber.” With full-time jobs as a software engineer, nurse, marketing manager, dog trainer, and healthcare policy analyst, these women are not pro climbers, but they’ve dedicated their lives to getting after it and climbing hard boulder problems whenever they can. The film will also call attention to the Indigenous history of Hueco, and how climbers can responsibly and respectfully interact with such sacred ground. Girls Gone Hueco isn’t just about showcasing rad climbs, but also to show the world that women are stronger together than we are divided. But of course, there will be plenty of impressive sending going on too!
